it’s a blessing that there are no proper music shops around here. sort of. reading this post makes me want to spend an unhealthy amount of money on music.

i once almost went to some kind of performance of riley’s music. can’t really remember what it was but the description sounded more than weird. however, it was just me reading terry as teddy.
as soon as i realized that, everything seemed less appealing.

The Complete On the Corner Sessions Â£52.99 on PLAY, quite expensive but sounds like it’s worth it. I’ve always loved the cover to ‘on the corner’ and it looks like they’ve printed it or did you say embossed it? on pure gold or someshit! Does the album have a credit for the artwork, i’ve never owned a proper copy.
And YEAH- start that music making!! I been waiting for ages to hear some of that.

Good for you, dude, about time. I always wondered why somebody who was so into music didn’t try making some.

You never talked about any adolescent band you were in or anything, and isn’t everybody in an adolescent band? I was. So we never actually got around to making any music, playing any instruments or writing any songs. At least we spent a lot of time trying to come up with the right name and trying to figure out who we should sound like.

I love that Julian Cope has proven to be a much better critic/writer on Rock than he ever was a songwriter, much as I like the teardrop Explodes and some of his solo stuff.
