I DJed 2 nights for him in Belfast during his last tour. Spike Lee was there, so was Cameron Diaz. She was nice. Spike was tired. Justin was a cunt. We all ate at the same table during the pre-concert meal. Cameron Diaz chatted to me about the weather, how old all the castles must be, and general small talk. (I think she wanted me) Spike and Justin talked around us about some movie or other. I wanted to speak to Spike about the Knicks, but felt it wasn't really my place at the time. The soup and salad was good. Homeboy had a shitty attitude the whole time. Wouldn't speak to anyone, including members of his backstage crew, because he was 'prepping for the show'. This prepping involved reading some magazines, drinking Coke, and trying to avoid conversation with Cameron Diaz. A couple of people who were also working on the Belfast gig only asked him for photos and he refused because he 'wasn't ready for photos'. He also smelled of cat's wee and cheese, and didn't cover his mouth when he sneezed. I heard he liked to pull the legs off spiders when he was a kid too. A real bad egg. Far better than Wembley Arena in all respects I'd say. The sound was excellent but that doesn't mean its allways excellent. If you're sitting up the top I have no idea what it will be like cos we were right down on the floor. I'm sure Prince will be great there. Similar sized show/production. The venue is outstanding.
